Top-Rated Resorts in Dumaguete

The City of Dumaguete truly is “The City of Gentle People”. It is one of the cities that I will definitely visit again. The street food or night market in Rizal Boulevard is my favorite spot. Why? Because of the cheap delicious food — from fish balls to isaw to pork barbecue to fruit juices. Name it; Rizal Boulevard has it. It is also where the famous Sans Rival Cakes & Pastries restaurant can be found. You have to try the sansrival and silvanas! I highly recommend them as pasalubong for your friends or loved ones!

Besides food, Dumaguete City is a well known tourist destination because of the city’s well preserved historic architectures like the St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral and Dumaguete Belfry. It also has nature wonders like Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao & DanaoCasaroro Falls, and Pulangbato Falls. And you can also go to Apo Island to snorkel and see how humans and marine life co-exist, and if you’re lucky, you might be able see the protected Green Sea turtles (Note: Please maintain a 5-meter distance and don’t touch them. If you get caught touching them, you will be fined P5000.)

Convinced now and ready to pack your bags and go to Dumaguete City? The city offers a wide range of choices — from budget to high-priced lodgings and classic hotels, but why not try staying at a resort? After the city tour and side trips, it’s nice to cap off the night at a resort. Agree? We compiled the Top 5 Resorts in Dumaguete, in no particular order, according to Agoda users as of July 2017.
